Dear Ben,

I agree. What the instructor stated yesterday at the seminar... "Garbage in Garbage out". I was stating that what is programmed inside the software is based on the Risk analysis knowlage area (chapter 11) in PMBOK 3rd edition.

Best Regards,

Samer

Dear Samer,

The software is purely a tool, the real solution to getting the best result using Pertmaster is knowing the project and its risks very well, pertmaster is only as good as what infomation you put into it.

Dear Friends,

You will need to understand the theory behind the software before working with the software in order to make sure that the results that you are getting are making sense.

Following a seminar yesterday about Pertmaster, they only refered to the PMBOK chapter 11 which is discussing Risk.

Best Regards,

Samer

Agreed, I was unsure about using Pertmaster for the first time, though by going through the tutorials carefully, risking my existing schedule was very straight forward. I am even thinking about disregarding P5 and creating my schedule directly into Pertmaster to save time and hassle importing it etc..

Great tool.

You don’t really need a training manual as the tutorials are all built into the software under the Help screen.

By working your way through the tutorials you will get to understand how it works. This of course will take some time and effort as it is quite a comprehensive toolset.

Good Luck

Rob
