TfL / London Underground Limited (2007 – 2009)

Responsible for the strategic planning for the Cooling the Tube initiative, a complex £912 million programme comprising a large number of innovative design, engineering and environmental projects.  Led constructive challenge to key project information, which was important to enable assurance to the Project Director and Sponsors within project investment and governance arrangements.  Specific activities undertaken include:

Challenged to support the Head Subsidiaries Controller (SESUB Area) in the Planning Services (SERPLAN) and improve subsidiaries control.

Projects: All range of Oil & Gas projects under development in the 8 subsidiaries and 100+ colligated companies. This included offshore / onshore, exploration & production, upstream, middle-stream, downstream), petrochemical, and industrial, manufacturing and commercial projects.

Acted as Director's key aide by detecting and solving management problems. Boosted operational efficiency and controlled risk.

Projects: Diverse E&P corporate oil & gas projects including offshore/onshore field surveys, floating platforms, rigs, production systems, pipelines, flexible drilling pipe plant, storage tanks, etc.

• Actively participated in the implementation of the Strategic Planning process to eliminate the dependency on capital injections by the holding company utilizing complex financial-econometric models and strategic analyses.

Self-employed. Rendered consulting to medium-sized companies, multinationals and industries, working both alone and sometimes under the names of micro-companies (with partners), such as Midsol and LC Consultoria. Clients included TNAX Tecnologia, PS Contax, Hidromania, 1001 Madeiras and others.

Responsible for creating and managing schedule from 30 contractors mainly Rides an Attractions, Had to coordinate with the Main Project Managers, Worked for Jack Rouse Associates (Consultants) who hired Blair Anderson to carry out Planning Services.

M.A.Kharafi & Sons (Contractor) hired Blair Anderson to carry out Planning Services for the project. Preparing the baseline programme, Monthly programme updates, Preparing Claim notifications, Interim particulars, Correspondence etc. preparing revised programme, time impact analysis, and claim report.
