Providing planning advice and developing programmes on a number of rail project

• Lead, coordinate and manage the delivery of the Annual Work Program (AWP) within the Maintenance Directorate, focusing on achieving safe and cost effective performance, timely project deliveries and reliability objectives of the asset and business.
• Manage possession strategy and planning to coordinate effective delivery of the AWP, external party, and major capital upgrading and development projects.

Initially employed as part of the National Bid Team responsible for developing Tender Programmes for various bids taking place across the UK.  Thereafter a part of the Edinburgh Waverley Station Redevelopment Project Controls Team responsible for monitoring and evaluating the earned value and productivity targets set in the client’s programmes.  Duties also included creating possession programmes for works taking place during rail track isolations and providing the Quantity Surveyors with the necessary information to assess the current/future position of the works to accurately pr

Providing Project Controls advice as part of a specialist mobilisation team working with a Balfour Beatty/LUL partnership for a new 5 year NEC3 Option C track renewal and maintenance contract.  Advice and hands on assistance in setting up appropriate scope control, project coding, change control and cost and resource loaded programmes, all to enable effective planning and monitoring of progress and timely issues identification.
