In my 4th decade of experience as a career professional estimator serving the Engineering / Procurement / Construction industry, specifically in the Petroleum, Petrochemical and Chemical markets for both domestic and international projects. Personal growth has been augmented through increasing responsibilities of specific assignments and functional management. Estimating capabilities have ranged from conceptual/rough order of magnitude to detailed/lump sum turnkey.
Developed materials management plan on assigned projects. Maintained material/equipment status level reporting, coordinated shop fabrication activities (both piping and structural steel) and maintained liaison with jobsite, to support inventory control. Expedited the completion of materials management related activities in conjunction with the project schedule. Field experience gained at multiple DOE-Strategic Petroleum Reserve sites in Texas and Louisiana.
Skillfully utilized estimating methods and the expertise of other project professionals to establish high quality total project estimates according to client and project management requirements. Developed material, labor and sub-contract take-offs, coordinated information between engineering, purchasing and construction and assisted in determining the execution plan for the project. Executed indirect and conceptual estimates as required. Had direct contact with the client and frequently interfaced with contractors in the field. Also had direct contact with all required functional areas.
