Lead all facilities management services and the planning, design and construction of all projects on the EKU campus.
Worked as a Cost Estimator/Scheduler for C&I Engineering in Louisville, KY. Worked with various refineries across the United States including all Marathon Refineries, Hunt refineries, Continental Refinery, and several others. Worked on small cap, mid cap, large cap, maintenance, and turnaround projects. Created, progressed, and performed earned value analysis on schedules and cost analysis as well.
Cost Estimator / Scheduler Works with other project team members, or senior staff personnel, to translate events into a sequential work schedule. Works with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, and or Discipline Leads to determine status of assigned projects. Finalized, adapted and maintained a 4,500+ activity P6 CPM design schedule for the OhioRiver Bridges Downtown Crossing Project. Project includes a cable-stayed bridge; 100 otherbridges; a roadway re-design across two states; Intelligent Traffic System (ITS) design, aesthetictreatments; as well as geotechnical explorations and reports.
I began my "turnaround" planning experience in 1994. I began my refining career in 1979 as a welder/fitter for Ashland Petroleum. After 10 years as a mechanic, working with my tools, I moved to a front line supervisor and then an area coordinator. I began planning turnarounds in 1994. I began using P3 to plan turnaorunds in 1998. We moved to P3e in 2003 and I continued to plan using Primavera Project Manager until my retirement. I was the site manager at my refinery for Primavera and developed a introductory training program for the corporation.
