I started my career in FMCG Plastics Manufacturing where I developed a New Product Development Process and also ran the Intellectual Property of the said business. I worked as a Project Assistant in my gap year, was hired on a contract basis to finish the Product Development Process in my final year of University, and went back there as a Project Planner after completing my degree. I was then promoted to an Innovation Manager, where I developed new products, managed a product portfolio, and also conducted market research.

Dear Fellow Members,

 

As part of my role, as the PMO Team Leader at Caterpillar Articulated Trucks, I had to develop a team of planners from scratch which planned all brand new Caterpillar products from cradle to grave. This included planning activities from a multitude of suppliers from all over the world.

 

We planned and managed all new prototype development and covered engineering, procurement, and construction, from strategy development through to project close out.

I am currently the Planning Manager at the IHC Merwede Engineering Business. The business specialises in offshore equipment, which includes (but is not limited to) Pipe Lay Equipment, Ploughs, Trenchers, Carousels, and A-Frame lifting equipment.

 

As part of my role I run a planning team, of which I have five other members, of varying degrees of experience.
