Lineside inspection of existing steel bridges for Kier Rail on TAH2 line in Walthamstow, to assess repair, strengthening and maintenance requirements as part of the 5 year framework agreement.
Production of a Bill of Quantities for a cycle bridge over the River Elwy; the design was for an RC 42m span bridge founded on bored piles.
Inspection for assessment of Kingsland Road Bridge, a steel truss bridge in Shoreditch. The bridge soffit was inspected during night-time road closures from a mobile elevated working platform.
Photographic site survey and production of construction sequence from site clearance to finished construction, minimising land-take and taking account of buildability, health & safety and the environment. Undertaken in 3d sketch package SketchUp, the model allowed simple clear presentation of stages, a fly-through and quick take off of quantities for feasibility cost estimates.
I attended site and provided assistance to SWT, checking and approving, quality and workmanship on the upgrade works to their train care depots.
Team Member for the production of Rail Corridor Plans for the Great Western, Great Northern & Thameslink rail corridors. These plans assessed constraints and issues on the line and demand characteristics along the corridors combining them to produce schemes to ensure present and future demand/ needs are met.
