Responsible for the control of the programmes generated by the Subsea Mechanical, Umbilical and Controls contractors for the Osprey Project. The field was being produced by means of two subsea linear block manifolds fed by 6 individual production well-heads, serviced by 5 water injection well-heads controlled remotely via a single armour coated 7km umbilical containing 11 fluid and 4 quad electrical cores. 

Working on behalf of the client (London Underground) our team was managing the main contractor undertaking the upgrade of the existing ticket office and the construction and fit out of a new ticket hall and ticket office to serve the Distruct and Circle Line platforms.

I reviewed the main contractor programmes, for my sections, in P3 and then converting these into P6 and updating the programme given to LUL.

I was responsible for the extension of the existing ticket hall and the fit out of the new D&C line ticket hall and ticket offices.

Establish a new Cost and Planning Department initially to control the newly undertaken large engineering projects, commencing with the Ninian Central Rig Removal Project, and subsequently all projects undertaken by the company 

Plan the Engineering and Design for Strathspey Field acceptance on Ninian Central Platform. Liase closely with Senior Cost Engineer in the incorporation, on an on-going basis, of all ECN's/RFV's into the integrated Planning and Cost Control System. Supervise the planning for the closeout of Detail Engineering and Design for both Ninian Central & Southern Platforms. Liase fully with Procurement and Construction to ensure detail design plans met with Procurement/On-shore Fabrication/Construction deadlines. 

Responsible for all planning, cost control, bid pricing (in consultation with Operations Manager), QA, commercial transactions and reporting and project performance reporting within the Odebrecht Oil & Gas - Aberdeen operations. Develop the local standard procedures and work instruction for insertion into the Aberdeen Operations quality plan.  Where appropriate assist in the development of project specific procedures.  Take lead role in annual QA external audits for the ISO 9000 quality assurance accreditation.

Plan the two phases of procurement and construction of the Mobil CEER Project.  Capacity enhancement involved a short heavily detailed summer shutdown in August, followed by a very tight schedule to install the two additional knock-out drums and pipework for Capacity Enhancement.  This involved the installation of two Turbo Expander Knock-out Drums., the Emissions Reduction package of Acid Gas Knock-out Drum, Recovered Gas Heater and Incinerator Boiler.

Establish the project verification plan at detail activity level, performance standard and asset for all Shell Expro UK enhanced verification.  This entailed detailed resource planning for the overall Lloyds Register, Aberdeen office to ensure shared resources were adequately planned and resources available to ensure all projects being undertaken within the Verification & Class and the Integrity Divisions were sufficient.  To advise management of any potential shortfall in resources and by which discipline.  To forecast based on future potential work scope projected recru

Managed the projects and resources within the engineering department.

Including production of new programmes, updating and monitoring existing programmes and earned value reporting.

All projects were resource and cost loaded and the programme resources were managed in the department by leveling resources using Primavera software. Employees booked completed timesheets using Primavera and this time was allocated to specific activities in each programme.

Provide planning services covering CAPEX and OPEX modification work.  Plans are based on cost centre budgets and include all phases of work from Engineering Design through to As-building and Job Close-out.  This work covered all Kerr McGee assets in the UK sector.
