I served as an engineer officer in the British Army for eight yearsin a succession of positions before leaving to pursue a different career. I have planned, managedand deliveredprojectsinvolving teams including up to 500 multi-disciplinary managers and tradesmen across Europe, Canada and the Middle East, often in austere environments.

During this post I was responsible for managing all operational deployments for a unit of approximately 500 cross functional personnel on behalf of the Commanding Officer (equivalent to Director).  I undertook initial scoping, planning and overall coordination for a number of simultaneous construction projects across the UK which included simple structures, building works and fit out.  I planned and executed the training and subsequent deploymentof 100 tradesmen to Afghanistan within a significantly reducedtimeframe.

Providing planning and process development support for two major infrastructure projects (HVDC power transfer) within a new engineering PMO structure.

Assisted in the transition from MS Project to Primavera as the planning tool of choice.

Contractor position, initially for Areva T&D and then for Alstom GRID following a takeover.

Project envolves extending the existing Victoria Line ticket hall and construction of a new ticket hall and ticket office along with associated tunnels and shafts for new access routes to the platforms.

I am responsible for all civils works for the extension of the existing south ticket hall, civils works for the new north ticket hall (including demolition of existing buildings) and all civils works for any enabling packages.
