Involved in developing ‘Planning Standards’, which set out the minimum planning standards to be employed on contracts. Gave presentations to Clients on bids utilising PowerPoint. Involved in Claims. Became acquainted with Water industry conditions of contract and also used the NEC Conditions of Contract on several contracts.

M6/M74 Joint Venture – Upgrade to Motorway Standard

Design Build Finance and Operate Joint Venture between Amey, Sir Robert Mc Alpine, Taylor Woodrow and Barr.  Multi-disciplined contract with major Geotechnical aspects with high profile environmental issues.  Involved construction of 20km of new green field dual 3 lane motorway and 11km of symmetrical widening of the existing

Managed sub-contractors (YEDL & Western Power) during the lifetime of the £180 million fibre network delivery project

Managed and delivered £3 million of electrical connections in the network including design, costs, civils and reconciliation for 1364 locations, ahead of schedule and within budget.

Day to day planning of connections to ensure weekly and monthly targets are met

Weekly meetings with sub-contractor to assess programme delivery and address and resolve any issues raised

M25 Junctions 7 - 8 Widening

Major contract as surfacing sub-contractor to Laing Civil Engineering.  The project involved the widening of 10Km of the existing M25 to four lanes in each direction with areas of full depth reconstruction and overlay.  A major factor on this project was been the development of Clause 929 & 943 materials.

Senior Planning Engineer Manchester Airport Aprons & Taxiways - Design & build – Extension to existing Aprons & Taxiways, involving extensive Mechanical & Electrical works and Pavement Quality Concrete. Quality Systems Manager, Planner & Design Manager, Engineering Team Leader.

Project Controller for Thales Avionics inclding the following tasks and resposibilities:-

The creation of the initial Programme Plan that included all deliverable Milestones, Internal Milestones and any other feature that will require to be delivered by the Programme
