Crossrail Project

I joined Crossrail in June 2015 where I am directly accountable for ensuring visibility and accuracy of programme performance data, and providing the Executive Leadership with the information they need in order to manage the programme and maintain their focus in the right areas. Having joined an already established world-class team, my primary focus in the first 6 months has been to review and evolve the Controls function to ensure that it is ‘fit-for-purpose’ for the remainder of the duration of the works. In these months, we have;

• Define and create appropriate Business/Project Management end to end processes, contributing to their continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic advice for implementing business level Project Controls solutions
• Establish, update and maintain the project control business systems (P6) ensuring the integrity of all underpinning schedule, cost, change and risk inputs through the life of the project.
• Provide support and process to allow the project to capture scope, schedule, cost, performance, risk, assurance and health and safety information.

I am a graduate civil engineer and progressed throught the ranks of contracting have project managed various projects from heavy civil engineering, rail, RC frames and groundworks and Design and build contracts.

Programme Controls

Crossrail Project (2009 – 2010)

Responsible for development of detailed plans, networks and programmes for surface and sub-surface construction, NATM and bored tunnelling activities, and mechanical and electrical systems installations and commissioning works.



Responsible for ongoing development of project control and cyclic progress reporting & change control systems. The network manager for the programming / structure coding of infrastructure and system installation and commissioning works.
