Hands on responsibility for the planning function for the whole of the CTRL project.  Develop and report an integrated project programme.  Liase with Project Managers (RLE) to ensure compliance with deliverables and accept Contractors programmes on behalf of the Client, and estbalish detailed mitigation plans, run QSRA's.  Advising Senior Management, Government Agents and Railtrack Board on programme issues. Lead programme discussions with Insurers agents on circa £70m claim for delay to Permit to Use.

One of the engineering wonders of the £5.2bn project CTRL was completed in 2003, the Thurrock Viaduct, the link between the Thames tunnel and Rainham Marshes. Thurrock Viaduct is one of the most spectacular achievements of the CTRL, a new viaduct crossing over the existing railway lines, over the Dartford Tunnel exit ramps and underneath the Queen Elizabeth the 2nd Bridge. This 1 km long viaduct was constructed over a year.

CTRL Section 2's route passes underneath London Underground's Barking Station. I was a Team Member for a night-time track side inspection of underside of the station (a listed building) informing a structural assessment, leading to a settle mitigation design.
