Programme / Project Planning Manager

I manage a team of 50 staff providing the planning and project support for the 2000 employees and projects at the edinburgh site. The team is arranged as four project offices, each with a Projec Office Manager, and one central support team. The four POMships deliver the planning service to each of the sites business areas while the central team supports this activity and pioneers system and process improvements.

Started  at the Tender stage for this project as Lead Planner and after successful bid, went to work as a Lead Planning Manager. I was Responsible for the overall development, integration, implementation & monitoring of detailed project plans & construction schedules. Prepared the compensation events programmes under NEC-3. Lead the planning engineers to support the commercial teams for the updates and progress monitoring of the key major subcontractors and managed the claims and counter claims from subcontractors.
