Planning Manager and Project Coordinator for Gas Treatment Plant Project, Bitumen Plant Project and Gold Refinery Projects in Kazakhstan.

I have over 30 years experience in the tunnelling industry and have worked on many prestigious projects such as the Channel Tunnel, Channel Tunnel Rail Link, Heathrow Terminal 5 and most recently on Crossrail. 

SITA employed me to manage the plannning associated with the £36M Specialist Systems works at Dublin Airport, Terminal 2. This involved planning of the design, procurement, installation, systems integration, and commissioning & handover phases. Particular attention was paid to the Airport critical systems of CCTV, Access Control, Security Search, and the new US Customs and Border Protection (SITA bespoke system) Baggage Image & Location System.

Multi discipline coordination of EPC projects in Ship Building, Pulp & Paper and Oil & Gas projects

Led a team of six planners and three schedulers to ensure all activities relating to FFG installation were planned, scheduled, monitored and controlled in a cost and schedule effective manner.  Ensure measurement of progress through appropriate systems and processes and actively address situations of significant deviations from plan in coordination with Project Manager. Maintain cost and schedule visibility to all levels of management.

•Prepare Clause 14 Programme of Works in Primavera P3 or P6 formats.
•Supervises planning engineers in weekly updates of the construction progress and prepares construction updated schedules using Primavera Project Planner.
•Monitor actual accomplishment in reference to the contractual Clause 14 P3 Program and or Balance-to-Complete P6 Programme.
•Liaise with Project Manager and formulate strategies in order to meet his target program.
•Manages sub-contractors schedules, resources and updates.

SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE:

Thirty One years of continuous experience in Project Management, Construction Management and General Contractors as Planning Manager, Senior Planner /Senior Cost Estimator and Senior Quantity Surveyor. The projects that I was involved with are Metro Rail, High-Rise Buildings, Refinery, Petrochemical and Terminal Airport, Hospitals, Pipelines & Pumping stations, Utility Tunnels/Micro Tunneling and Infrastructure projects.

Started with development of coding structure for consortium and level 3 programs for “Saldanha Mechanical Contractors”, written in Primavera ver 2.b. This contractual program had to be integrated with other contractors on site due to the fast track nature of the project and had to be totally network compatible so that all contractors on site could update one integrated schedule. This schedule became contractual level 3 programs for the consortium.
