PLANNING ENGINEER

My career in this line started in the year 2003  i.e over 7 years of Experience in Project Planning & Scheduling and Project Controls in Oil & Gas and Fertilizer industry.

Analyzed and ensured that all required project documents and engineering deliverables are set up to establish a proper project baseline, and monitored progress against those to the critical path. Responsible for the following projects: EPC 166MW Power Generation Plant, EPC Power Plant Utilities, C Main Pipe Rack Erection approx. 16500 tons of steel structures in total, EC 200 man Temporary Offices and four 1000 m² each Warehouses.

1) Review of contracts, scope of work

2) Prepare execution plan, WBS and schedule of activity based on contract scope

3) Monitor, track and update project status, and preparation of report for submittals

4) Perform schedule analysis for delays and impact to the existing schedule

5) Preparation of mitigation, recovery plan, and acceleration for any delays or backlog

 

Preparation of Baseline Programmes, Manpower analysis, S curves, histograms, Progress tracking, Delay analysis.

Experienced in Updating the daily progress at site , Preparation of follow-up sheets for Civil and structural works, Finishes and MEP work status and target reports, Weekly and monthly progress reports and reviewing progress with PMC, prepration of Monthly look ahead schedule and , Updating  manpower and Equipment at site.

• Being a responsible employee in this position my job is include the selection of appropriate methods and sequences of events for a specific project.

• Analyze the construction sites as well as the local environments to arrange proper logistics solutions and resources in order to execute the program.

• Draw an outline of the planning and preparation of work including several visual aids like diagrams, bar charts etc to demonstrate the work plan.

• In order to make the project plan you will have to use the specialist planning computer software

Directed and advised in the selection of a front-end package to allow BP to move from an Artemis 6000 system running on an HP mini system to a PC bases Artemis 7000 system quickly and smoothly. Then expanded this system by writing programmes and menu systems to meet the refinery specific planning and reporting needs. This system was later replaced by Primavera (P3).

While working for the Overhauls Services Branch at BP I have created, monitored and reported on plans for a wide range of maintenance and capital project works for execution during plant shutdowns.
