Position: Cost Estimator, Brass LNG Project (Apr 2005 to Mar 2016)
Main function included overseeing and contributing to the preparation and evaluation of cost estimates for the Brass LNG project.
Duties and responsibilities included the following:
-The production of pre-tender cost estimates for electricity transmission projects, with a high focus being applied to transmission via extra high voltage cables
-The production of cost and scheduling models with the use of expert judgement and historic data
-The development of cost estimation models to reduce the resource time required for estimation.
-The identification of the independent variables to which cost is highly sensitive is central to this

* Perform material take-offs using Blueprints and Estimating Software, perform Project Management functions ensuring detailed material schedules are current, provide analysis and solutions for variances; prepare Cost Estimates and Sales Quotations for Government Agencies and General Contractors for Heavy Civil Pipeline and Drainage Systems, submit RFIs, Plan and Manage Procurements, Prepare Purchase Orders, Request for Quotations from manufacturers, Review Technical Specifications and Contract Doc
§ Analyze drawing sets, scope of work, and specification in order to produce detailed cost estimates. Additionally, organizing and maintaining all project documents on the companies file server such that it is easily accessible by all team members.
§ Perform accurate quantity takeoffs on tender drawings using take-off estimation software Cost-X.
