Construction Project Planner / Senior Planner / Forensic Analyst

I'm currently a consultant working mostly with construction clients preparing baseline schedules and update systems for mostly public works projects. I've developed a specialty in preparing cost-loaded (read really Schedule of Value-loaded) schedules that are used to authenticate monthly pay applications.

Currently Working as a Forensic Planner at a Leading Construction Company in South Africa. I obtain my BSC Degree in Civil Engineering in 1996 and worked on various projects as a Estimator, Methods and Design Engineer, Contracts Manager, Planning Engineer and Quality Manager.

I am responsible for all the Project and Tender programme within the Gatwick Airport Team, of whom we only have one client, Gatwick Airport Limited.  I produce and report and progress various projects on regular basis.  In addition, I attend client / sub contractors meetings to ensure that all changes are captured.  Because all works within the team are surrounding a live / operating airport, robust planning is required to ensure the integrity of airport operations, security, safety and passenger experience is maintained.  Two senior planners are currently working under

Reporting to the Planning Manager and responsible for the preparation of construction schedules, follow-up with site team for ensuring the delivery as planned, weekly look ahead schedules, forecast of resources, monitoring the progress and reporting to client (daily, weekly & monthly reports), attending weekly progress meetings, preparation of internal progress reports, Manpower & Equipment Forecasts, Cash flow statements, and MIS reports.



Responsible for conducting Internal audits as per IMS requirements for the 3rd Party LRQA audit & Certification.

Having worked with both Civil construction and Building services work (MEP) as a Planner to Senior planner, proficient in creating realistic program and able to monitor the project effectively.

-      Developing, managing and updating of the detailed project execution schedules.

-       Assigning the resources to the schedule and preparing the cash flow for the project.
