Construction Project Planner / Senior Planner

Support the Work Winning team and project teams with producing and reporting cost loaded work programmes/schedules in Primavera P6 format, for the purpose of co-ordinating works with Sub-contractors and other third parties working on the Civil, Power, Utilities, Railway and Building sectors. Responsible for creating both tender and project programmes to support the company in securing future revenue, and leading project teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:On Site: Planning, scheduling, monitoring, and analyzing project progress; Estimating/allocating required resources; preparing supply plans; Following up on work executed on site; determining and proposing corrective actions fordeviations from project schedules and resources; Performing quantity surveying and following up on invoices; Preparing cost estimates and annual budget studies; Utilizing Primavera Project Planner and Microsoft Excel to generate reports; Closel

 Responsible for supervising the set-up, development, maintenance and monitoring of thedetailed project execution schedules; Responsible for the establishment of the Project Schedule Baseline and subsequentrevisions by maintaining an audit trail of schedule development and incorporation ofschedule trends; Interrogating inter-discipline schedule requirements / restraints to ensure logical worksequences across all disciplines of the project and co-ordinate the plan formulation acrossthe entire project;

Roles & Responsibilities

·         Developing and Maintaining Detailed Project Schedules

·         Monitoring cost and commitment through requisition and invoice review

·         Ensuring active engagement of team members by the delegation of tasks to the appropriate person both on a long-term and on a day-to-day basis

Updating /Scheduling construction program using primavera project planner Reviewing & Approving Contractors Work Program Submissions.

• Formulate Master Plan Schedule, at all stages of the project lifecycle, from design and through to completion using primavera project planner through resources loading, including engineering, procurement and construction, in coordination with project team.
• To coordinate with engineering and procurement department project teams to achieve optimum development and sustainment of project schedules.
• Monitoring critical activities based on the project schedule and report to management
• Interfacing, coordinating with subcontractors when needed, reviewing subcontractors

Starting from MS Project export from P6 (by others), resolve anomalies, make a Clause 31 programme, then update to Clause 32 programmes as required.

The existing programme had some spurious link as the order of works had been dragged from an existing resourced programme, I sorted out the order and linking, and submitted this to VL for consideration, after 3 iterations this was submitted to their Client. The initial plan was for me to update this over several months, however this request was never made by VL
