Civil/ Planning Engineer

Career started in 2006 as Planning Engineer with UEM Builders Berhad. I was responsible for monitoring and updating the construction progress of high-rise building for UEM Group Head Quarters at KL Sentral. My key role is to assist the Project Manager, Senior Planner and Project team, supervisors and Subcontractor for collating all the physical progress.

Education                   : M.Sc. In Project Management (University of Gloucestershire, UK)-2009-2010   

Job Responsibilities:

Ø  Review project milestones, tender / contract requirements and prepare project schedules based on the planned milestones.

Ø  Review, identify and advise project manpower, equipment and other resource requirements.

Ø  Prepare and ensure master programme of works / critical milestones are achieved, ensuring effective planning and monitoring of site progress.

Assisted Lead Construction Manager in issuing completion certificates, Contractor’s progress billing and in development of control and communication procedures (such as RFA’s, RFI’s, work and change orders). Consolidated and reviewed monthly progress and weekly reports for SMC’s and its subsidiaries on-going projects. Prepared contracts, technical and commercial proposals for Construction Management Services. Attended pre-bidding meetings and evaluated technical bids as needed.
