As a Quantity Surveyor (1999 to 2001), I was Tasked to handle jobs related to quantifying and tracking project activities for the construction of two span river crossing bridge connecting the city of Omuta, Fukuoka prefecture and Jojima, Saga Prefecture:

§  Quantity Take-Off (from IFC Drawing) and mark-up and record any variance for Claims

§  Prepares and submit quantity appraisal on every activity being done pertaining to civil, Mechanical and electrical Works.

As project site Supervisor (1993 to 1999), I was responsible to execute works among others, such as:

As a project foreman (1992 to 1993 ), I was tasked  as a team leader for the execution of Civil and architectural works such as :

Prepared and updated the construction schedule using Primavera P6. Prepared manpower histograms, S curves

and commodity curves. Prepared PCNs, claims and correspondence according to the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) Red Book. Set up a cost control system and evaluated profitability of items. Prepared unit price analyses as well as interim payment certificates.

Prepared and updated the construction schedule using Primavera P6. Prepared manpower histograms, S curves and commodity curves. Prepared PCNs, claims and correspondence according to FIDIC Yellow Book. Prepared unit price analyses. Supervised the preparation of structural concrete and hot mix asphalt mix designs. Supervised all testing related to earthworks, structural concrete, piles and pavement works. Prepared work methodologies and material submittals and ensured that all materials and works conformed to the relevant standards

Prepared PCNs, claims and correspondence according to FIDIC Red Book. Prepared quantity surveying for structural works. Prepared contracts for subcontract and supply agreements. Currently assigned as QS/Planning Engineer at Highways and Infrastructure Division of White Young Qatar.

Continue to fulfill the role in Yemen and focus on Planning and Contracts duties in Ethiopia Projects.
