The Seven Borealis project was a complex multi-phase endeavour incorporating multiple sub-projects with operations spanning the globe with a total budget of over $600 million for the construction and commissioning of a technically advanced offshore construction vessel. Responsible for creating plans to coordinate all project elements and phases through an Integrated Master Schedule and Earned Value progress management system. Provided Board level status updates, briefings and forecasts.

Providing consultancy services to assist to BG with development and implementation of their global Integrated Planning and Scheduling (IAPS) initiative. IAPS was designed to provide a structured approach to planning CAP activities over multiple time horizons from 8 years to 2 weeks with the level of detail in the plan being increased as the plan matures.

First phase was development of procedures, guidelines and standards which had been created for the pilot scheme in Trinidad and Tobago.

Responsible for the development of a system-based commissioning and start-up plan for a new Gas Plant in EG. The first stage included Power Generation, Gas Compression and Injection packages along with associated utilities (Flare, Drains, Air and Utility Water etc). The second stage involved commissioning of a new Gas Plant and LPG Storage tanks.

 Commissioning activities were resourced to provide manning requirements and progress reports by manhours.

Developed a full pre-commissioning and commissioning network down to task and discipline level with coding structure to produce reports by System, Contractor, Discipline and Project Phase.

The project involved the commissioning of a Conveyor System to transport Coke and Sulfur Products from the main Upgrader Complex to shipping jetties.

Working as part of the Project Management Team developing the Commissioning Programme for the Upgrader Complex which comprised a Desalting and Crude Distillation Unit, Delayed Coking Unit, Sulfur Recovery Unit, Gas Sweetening Plant, Mild Hydrocracker and Hydrogen Manufacturing Unit (project total ~$4.2 billion).

Produced Integrated and summarised programmes to system level from the more detailed programmes of Main Contractors as well as the Operating Group. Preparation of reports and presentations to Commissioning Manager and Partnership Directors.

Planning Engineer, BP, Overhauls Services - Multiple Projects

Directed and advised in the selection of a front-end package to allow BP to move from an Artemis 6000 system running on an HP mini system to a PC bases Artemis 7000 system quickly and smoothly. Then expanded this system by writing programmes and menu systems to meet the refinery specific planning and reporting needs. This system was later replaced by Primavera (P3).

While working for the Overhauls Services Branch at BP I have created, monitored and reported on plans for a wide range of maintenance and capital project works for execution during plant shutdowns.
