Work as a planning engineer participating in EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) for an iron ore project in Western Australia

Current Role

Prepare schedule for Leightons on the RPG4 Project, Perth CBD, Planner

Accountable for the management and development / creation of Work Pack documents and Microsoft Project schedules based on the Transfield Services ‘Turnaround Management Plan’ and planning procedures for: breakdown, routine and shutdown maintenance activities and sustaining capital project activities as required by GNI contract 1534 A & B.

Specific Responsibilities

¨             Led and provided technical guidance to six Detail Planners and two Schedulers.

Went to site to take over planning functions in project that was progressing slow, to introduce better controls to improve workflow and efficiency. Generate programs to monitor & control various aspects of project, both additional and revised works. Successfully generated work plans to control completion and handover of 10 Structural buildings, more than 2000 various mechanical items, 162 various piping systems, plus handover of works completed by sub-contractors to client.

After contract award, generated level 3 programs, which became contractual program. Setup level 4 detailed fabrication programs, which were part of fabricators contract. Setup transport & delivery schedules. Setup schedules for detailing of structural buildings & gantries. Setup various documents for proper control like, item registers, motor lists, equipment lists, and vendor lists. Implementing of responsibility schedules and program rolling horizons. Got project running and handover to site manager.

Current Role

Currently working for Maunsell, Brisbane as their Lead Planner / Scheduler as part of the Project Delivery Team. In particular I am involved in a number of construction and engineering projects. These include Northparkes E48 Mine Upgrade. Kunioon Coal Project Upgrade. Cadia East Underground.



I am also the Primavera Administrator and have rolled system to our planning team.

Worked as Planner and Senior Planner on Brownfied and Greenfield Sites across Australia and South East Asia and Africa.
