Ninham Shand Civil Engineer
Responsible for the gathering of field data regarding the structural integrity of various pipe bridges including the gathering of core samples of the pipe bridges and sewage effluent samples within the system.
This data was then used to compile a report on the expected lifespan of al the bridges investigated, considering all the factors involved in the corrosion of the steel pipes internally and externally.
Safety factors were also determined for each bridge in order to assess the priority of refurbishment.
Khula Development Facilitators CC Project Manager
Worked as Regional Programme Manager for the Consolidated Municipal Infrastructure Programme (CMIP) for the O.R. Tambo and Alfred Nzo District Municipalities in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa and was allocated to various infrastructure projects worth approx. 20,000,000 Pounds in two of the poorest regions in South Africa.
Key responsibilities:
• Evaluation of Business Plans, Technical Reports, Design Reports and Tender Reports.
Ninham Shand Civil Engineer
Compilation of Business Plans, Technical Reports, Design Reports (including the detail design), Tender Documents, Tender Reports and Agreement Documents for various Projects. I also assisted with the Progress Reporting to the Funding Agency.
Site Engineering Surveys (SES) Civil Engineer
Engineer with Site Engineering Surveys (SES) on various sites in and around London for companies such as MACE, WATES and BOVIS.
Started off assisted a number of SES Engineers before joining SES and operated Leica Instruments mostly.
These instruments included Total Stations (EDM) and Dumpy Levels.
Key responsibilities:
Setting out gridlines, service holes, control points, transferred datum levels, doing as-built surveys and topo-surveys.
Cubitt Building & Interiors Planner
Key responsibilities:
• Compiling Tender Proposals.
• Programming Potential Contracts at Tender Stage.
• Programming Works for Construction.
• General Administration.
Laing O Rourke Southern Senior Planner
Responsible for the Programming of various Construction Activities associated with the entire internal fitting out of Pavilions B & C at One Hyde Park which is a Flagship Project of Laing O’Rourke.
Assisted greatly with the planning of works surrounding the Reception, Spine Corridor & Leisure Suite of the Development.
This also included for the allowance/integration of the Testing & Commissioning Phase of the Programmed Works.
