Probabilistic Chain Analysis (PCA) — A Framework for Running Projects in a Probabilistic World

Introduction

I want to share a methodology I have spent the last eight months developing, validating, and writing up — and I would genuinely value the technical scrutiny of this community before I take it further into academic submission.

The problem it addresses is one I suspect everyone here has lived:

A static risk register sums independent expected values. It treats fifteen risks as fifteen separate coin flips. It produces a number. The Project Director nods at the number. The project begins.

Software - Safran Risk, @Risk, Predict!

Hi all. How would you guys rank Safran Risk, @Risk and Predict! for carrying out QRA (both QSRA and QCRA)? On QSRA, I consider Safran Risk is the better one, as it is more comprehensive with more options. And it looks more promising to deal with complex risk model as well. However, i don't have much idea on QCRA. Thanks in advance.

Multiple imports of risks to Primavera P6

D
Dejan Kezic 👤 Member for 8 years 2 months

Hi everyone,

Is there solution ti import (through Excel) risks to large number of activities in P6 schedule?

Similar to importing of activities and/or resources, I would like to define several different risks and then instead of using manual method in P6 to export file to Excel, then prepare it for importing by coping risks to different activities and return it through import.

I have tried it, but I can not find Risks in Available Options in Export dialogues.

Thank you in advance!

How to become a risk analyst

Hi everyone,

I have been working as a scheduler and planner for a while and I am currently living in Australia

I am just trying to improve my knowledge and hopefully change of careers in the future.

Can anyone of you guys help me where to start from?

What would be the best course that I can take to gradually improve my knowledge.

Obviously I am not one of those who are trying to find the solution over night. I am seeking for change of career and improving my knowledge and learnin through this year.
