Questions & answers for Primavera software
If I have an activity, and the calendar for that activity is on a 7 day work week calendar but there is a resource assigned to that activity that has a resource calendar that is 5 day work week, will that limit my activity to 5 days a week?
So if activity "A" used an excavator who's resource calendar is 5 days a week, does P3 assume you can only work on activty A 5 days a week?

Hi all! Nice forum you all have here. To put in layman's term, can P3 be controled by a self written software via any API?? I heard of primavera integration API here

On my project I have all the activities organized by phase. Is there a way to automatically display the total duration of the phase in the title?
For example, if I had a phase 1A, and all the activites in phase 1A would take 30 days to complete, it would display '30' days next to where it says phase 1A.

Ive just had my hard drive re-formatted on my company laptop and had to reload P3. I keep getting the same message...................PROGLOC directory is invalid. Please check your P3.INI file.
Ive tried to mess about with the P3.ini file but it still doesnt work

Why does the resource usage profile not show whole numbers as if should.
Why does the scale show 1d,3d,4d,5d and not 2d.

I have my schedule prepared in P3. I prepared the detailed schedule in P6 by importing it. After completing the detailed schedule, I exported it back to P3 version.
As I open the P3 file of my detailed schedule, the logic/relationships is no longer working. Even if you change a relationship, it does not recalculate.
Please help me asap.

I have a schedule an auto cost rule linke remaining duration and schedule percent complete is unchecked and the schedule culcuates all value based on this situation when i change this (check the box) the remaining duration and pecent complete remain unliked unless i change one of them manually.
How can i recuculate remaing durations based on the percent complete for all activities in the schedule
please advise

Q. I have 14 small projects (similar in scope with small variation in details, scattered all over the country) which are planned in separate 14 programs but they came under one contract.
For EOT purposes I am supposed to show all projects in one master program (Master baseline and then there will be Impacted Master baseline) to depict the EOT entitlement. can anyone suggest how to do that in Primavera v3/3.1.??
