Junior Primavera P6 Planner looking to get started in the industry

Hello,

I am a junior planner with very little experience on site but I am very well versed in the Oracle Primavera P6 software. I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on getting into the industry as I am aware that many positions are dependant on experience.

Thank you

Aden

Suitable PMI Certifications for Planners/Planning Engineers/Project Control Specialists

R
Ryan Lee 👤 Member for 10 years 7 months

Hi there,

Can someone please kindly advise which PMI certifications would be most suitable for a Planner who also has exposure to cost control and overall project control concepts?

I was considering the CAPM and PMI-SP certifications as best fits, as opposed to the most popular PMP certfication.

Also open to hearing thoughts on other recognised accreditations (besides PMI) which might be more recognised/beneficial for project controls professionals.

I am a Project Control Engineer ( planning, Cost control and claim). Luckly i got to learn all this in 8 years.

I would like to know what course should i do to get a certification. Is PMP enough  (I dont have that) or is there a specific course for Project Control.

Help me out please.
