Project Controls Specialist
Started with Parsons Brinckerhoff, initially seconded to Lucite International’s acrylics plant at Billingham, UK, planning for a 90 day outage (Which was successfully completed). After this, I moved to the Middlesbrough office working on various projects on the Seal Sands and Wilton petro-chemical complexes on Teesside and also a secondment to South Korea, auditing possessions on a petro-chemical plant.
Involved in production of design and construction drawings for Steel Plaza the primary station for the Pittsburgh Light Rail Transit Project.
Planning and scheduling for Pittsburgh Light Rail Transit Project ($457 million) responsible for development, updating and analyzing of design, procurement and construction CPM schedules including time extensions and claims analysis; also responsible for various management reports; liaison with contractors and client; experience in Mscs, Artemis and Aldergraf Computerized Information Systems.
Responsible for Construction Scheduling for the $2.3-billion major capital improvement program projects at both Washington Dulles International Airport and Reagan National Airport. Responsible for Managing the Scheduling Department for the construction group at Dulles International Airport. This includes determination of specific assignment of Schedulers to individual contracts within the overall Project Program, staff performance evaluations, day-to-day assignments and setting of priorities. Responsible for various status reports to upper management and client.
I joined PB in 2009 as a Senior Project Controls Manager, reporting to the European Operations Director. In this Corporate Leadership role, I spent my first 2 years driving a Corporate Change Programme across the UK and Europe business. As part of a major strategic initiative to drive a consistent approach to project delivery across the business lines, I was responsible for developing and implementing key tools that laid the foundations for major change in the business going forward.
