HS2 Phase 1 - Construction Expert

The Construction Expert role is within a small Project Development Team tasked with:

· Identifying and Specifying key construction documentation.

. Assessing and recommending assigned responsibilities for document production. 

. Specifying and assessing the resource requirements for the development of the project documentation.

Dublin Port Tunnel - Planning Engineer / Manager

The Dublin Port Tunnel is a major element in a multifaceted plan to tackle the transportation problems in Dublin City. Its primary purpose is to provide a high quality access route to Dublin Port, as well as relieving congestion in many areas of the city. The Project value was € 455m and comprises approximately 5.6 km of dual carriageway, which includes 2.1 km of twin cut & cover tunnels and 2.4 km of twin bored tunnels, with associated interchanges and infrastructure.

Gautrain Rapid Rail Project - Programme Risk Advisor

The Gautrain Rapid Rail Link is a rapid rail network being constructed in Gauteng Province, South Africa.  The rail connection comprises of 10 stations (4 underground) with 15.5km of the route within tunnel with the remaining 65km at grade or on viaduct structures.

·  Management of South Africa based LBA consultant.

·  Evaluation of Contractor’s Monthly Reports and Programme updates.

Crossrail Design SCL Tunnels - Construction Planning Manager

Crossrail is the new high frequency, convenient and accessible railway for London and the South East. Approximately 22km of the route is underground incorporating 5 mined stations. Role required the management of the construction planning for the underground Sprayed Concrete Lining (SCL) Works for the stations, cross-passages, cross-over caverns and associated ventilation/intervention shafts and tunnels.

Bank Station Congestion Relief Scheme - Construction Planner

Construction planning of a revised scheme (from RIBA C) encompassing the entire station congestion issue. The complexity of the station layout and design required several variations to be assessed before their final collation into coherent programmes. 

Various Confidential Projects - Delay Consultant & Programme Risk Assessor

Role included providing detailed construction advice and analysis of project delay to Clients, solicitors and design consultants on a 1200km overseas road project incorporating several tunnelled sections, viaducts and reclaimed land areas and on an innovative UK transportation scheme. Role cumulated in the production of confidential reports and presentations for use in legal proceedings. 

HS2 Lot1b London Metropolitan - Construction Planning Manager

The Lead Planner role includes the management of a construction team dealing with:

·  The production of Primavera P6 programmes for the London Metropolitan section.

·  The production of Community Forum Area planning reports and design documents relating to constructability.
