Contract Planner for design and construct contract under NEC 3 ECC Contract Conditions. Works located within 2012 Olympic Park to provide enabling works for the construction of the international broadcast studios and press offices.
I joined Mowlem in 2001 as Section Engineer, working up to Sub Agent shortly after the Carillion aquisition. After completing a project in Bristol, I was asked to produce some tender programmes for the bid team. It was at this stage that I was approached to work as a Contract Planner on a full-time basis.
Outer Harbour – Scope G Works (£2.1m)
Tender and Contract Planner for construct only contract under FIDIC Conditions of Contract, 4th Edition. Works located at Great Yarmouth Outer Harbour development to provide around 41,000m² hard-standings to create an operation port area. Contract involved the construction of block paving areas complete with electrical ducting, lighting towers 40m in height, approx.
A12 Witham Phase 2 Major Maintenance (£7.1m)
Principal Planner for construct only contract under NEC 3 Option C contract conditions. Works located on the A12 trunk-road, Witham, Essex to provide re-surfacing and road realignment utilising 24hr working. Contract involved crack and seat re-surfacing techniques, the provision and erection of 2no.

Works located at Abberton Reservoir, Layer-de-La-Haye, Essex involving enhancements to the existing reservoir to increase its capacity by 58%. This will be achieved by raising the level of reservoir by approx.
