As a graduate of Washington State University, I have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting - with a focuses on cost, audit, tax, information systems and general finance - as well Management training to include operations, planning, program and project management, estimating, scheduling, communication, collaboration and technical writing. In continuing my education, I am actively involved with professional organizations including the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering, or AACE International. As an Associate - Educational Board member, I have the privilege of disseminating and promulgating today’s most cutting edge industrial knowledge while also diligently honing my own project management, leadership and presentation skills. This pursuit has guided me toward certification as Certified Cost Professional (CCP); I am currently striving to achieve this distinction in the coming months. Having a familiarity and proficiency in project and program management methods, planning and project control practices certainly qualifies my educational background.
In addition to academics, my work experience demonstrates an aptitude for business and complex construction execution as well as a career potential in supply chain, contracting, logistics, analytics, project controls and program management. Most recently, I am employed by the University of Washington as a Project Controls Engineer within Capital Planning & Development. Responsibilities include administering project services, strategic planning, collaborating and leading cross-functional teams, analyzing cost and schedule and making recommendations to management. In the past I have represented corporate contracting offices (CH2MHILL) as primary technical liaison and point of contact, provided contract and procurement guidance, assisted claims negotiations, managed small business goals, validated estimates, reviewed risks, invoices, accounts, and change orders, mitigated issues and disputes; experience which has granted me invaluable perspective when acting as project representative for all compliance and audit requirements.
