I would like to be considered for the role of Project Controls Engineer. Please find enclosed my CV in application for the post advertised.
You will notice that I have worked as a Planning Engineer for 9 years within the oil and gas industry. I am very keen on branching out from the oil and gas industry and increasing my knowledge and experience in other areas and industries.
I am a very fast learner, and also very quick when adapting to new types of software and techniques. When I started in my first job at Saipem as a Trainee Draughtsman, I had no previous knowledge of Auto Cad or the Oil and Gas Industry. Despite time and deadline pressures, I soon became an expert in using the software and very competent in the new field I was working in. I then used these skills to progress into the Planning Derpartment, and over the years gained a lot of valuable experience.
It is these skills and the ability to react and adapt well to change, even when regularly taken out of my comfort zone, that make me very confident that I can make a seamless transition from one industry to another.
