I am writing to apply for the Planning Engineer/Project Planner position advertised in your company and I enclosed my CV for your consideration.
I was working on the water treatment plant project as a planning engineer/ planner with A&S brothers for their claiming stage of the project. I was involved in analyzing the critical paths, creating the as built programs and comparing those to the accepted programs. I was also offered before that, a position as a R&D engineer with Vigil Engineering for their new project. I worked closely with the contractor and used Primavera as the main approach to produce, monitor and maintain the program of works. I get involved on site occasionally as my additional duties to ensure that key works are progressing as planned and implement corrective measures to ensure smooth delivery of the scope of works. I have EE(Electronics Engineering) background since I graduated from the Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology with a result of first division.
As you will see in my CV, I have developed various excellent IT skills such as Microsoft Office, Primavera P6 R-8.1 and MS Project, which I used it very frequently during my work. My role as team leader required me to motivate and encourage other team members and I was able to build rapport with my group very quickly. With my other work experiences, I considered myself as a quick learner and able to make real contribution to a team within short period of time.
My passion in the engineering field will help me go further in my future as the range of extracurricular activities and academic performance demonstrate my ability to work under pressure. My biggest strength is that I am a quick learner where I am able to learn new things in a short period. I realize that my work experiences have helped me improve my personality in various ways, and this can be useful for my career in future.
