Understanding the key role that project management plays in delivering projects in a quality, time and cost effective manner, I have taken the project management career, as it has become the basis for a successful construction industry.
I am fully aware and experienced in the project management tools including time, cost and resource scheduling, monitoring and control; claims management; change management; document management; procurement, preparation of tenders and estimating.
I have excellent computer skills, since I have started to use the management related software about 19 years ago, especially PRIMAVERA P6, PRIMAVERA P3, EXPEDITION, TIMBERLINE and AUTOCAD, at which I am proficient. Combining that software with MS OFFICE (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc. …) gives me excellent command of the work I perform.
Furthermore, I have polished my practical experience with the proper education, especially by enrolling in M. Sc. degree of Project Management.
I had recent experience in the United States of Americaas the Controls Manager for Gryphon Construction, Inc. in Bridgeport, Connecticut, which is a mid-size construction firm. My duties included preparing responsive tender packages including estimating the projects, planning and scheduling the company’s projects using PRIMAVERA, monitoring the progress of projects and updating the schedules accordingly, managing the procurement process starting from submittals to the delivery schedules, full documentation of the projects using EXPEDITION as a base, managing the change process from initiation to approval.
In addition, I am familiar with the gulf conditions and the way of work and Life, as I lived in Kuwait for 15 years during my school. I also worked in Kuwait for about 3 years and in UAE as Senior Controls Engineer in Ruwais Oil Refinery expansion project from April 2003 to June 2004.
My Previous position was Projects Planning Manager for projects in Dubai UAE that are worth more than 2.5 Billions AED at Arabtec Construction LLC from 2006 to 2010.
Currently, I am holding the position of Senior Controls Manager for projects in Abu Dhabi UAE that are worth more than 3.5 Billion AED at Al Habtoor Leighton Group since 2010.
I am fluent in English, both spoken and written. In addition, I quite understand the gulf, Lebanese and other Arab dialects, which enables me to communicate easily with any nationality.
