Work Summary: I have thirty years of EPC planning and scheduling experience for all phases of industrial projects. I’ve worked in the Home Office engineering environment preparing schedules for project phases ranging from conceptual to commissioning.  I’ve worked on numerous new construction sites supporting management on ‘Grass Roots’ and ‘Expansion’ projects.  I’ve assisted clients with ‘self-perform’ construction management and turnarounds.  My responsibilities have included working as the Project Controls Manager, Project Controls Specialist, Construction and Turnaround Planner/Scheduler.  Prior to working in project controls I worked eleven years as a pipefitter, welder, and welding inspector on both new construction and capital projects.

Industry Summary: Most of my experience has been in the oil and gas industry.  I also have experience in chemical and plastics production, copper and phosphate mining facilities, steel making capital projects, pharmaceutical manufacturing sites, office building construction and blast proofing of existing structures as well as industrial security enhancements (post 9-11).

People Skills: My understanding of engineering and construction deliverables enables me to comfortably conduct interactive planning sessions in most EPC environments.  I’m comfortable interacting with all engineering disciplines, buyers, contract administrators and project managers.  I relate easily with construction coordinators, superintendents and site managers.  I enjoy the enjoy working with other project controls personnel and am able to maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations.

Computer Skills: I'm proficient with the use of the latest industry standard scheduling software.  This includes Primavera (P6 ver. 8.3) and MS Project 2010.  I’m proficient with MS Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Power Point).  I have experience using SAP and JD Edwards cost and procurement programs.  I also have experience using many client specific databases for managing cost, progress measurement, drawings and equipment files.
