- Maintenance of the schedule using Primavera (P6 V.7), and preparing weekly and monthly progress report presentations, Earned Value Management(CPI,SPI,CV,SV)
- Liaising with several vendors with reference to the B-T-G and BOP packages with reference to schedules, milestones and deliverables
- Internal overview & discussion with several members of other team in regards to other dependent engineering packages, to ensure schedule maintenance
- Ensuring that delays and possibilities of delays be promptly raised to the attention of the senior management to prevent last minute fire fighting when possible
- Mentoring the Graduate Engineers in Training (GET’s) during the orientation of the department and familiarisation of software
- Preparing presentations and assisting team lead in conducting continuous education sessions for other departmental staff to raise the awareness regarding importance of planning
- Preparing and updating s-curves for tracking the project progress.
I have completed my post-graduation from National Power Training Institute (NPTI), India, and also, underwent training at the NPTI – Badarpur and Faridabad. During the training I gained significant experience in operation & instrumentation and control system designs of power plants. I am also well versed with the different aspects of not just coal-fired power plants, but also, gas fired and combined cycle units. The various courses at NPTI like Power Plants Engineering, Planning & scheduling etc., strengthened by fundamental knowledge about the complex aspects involved in the development of power projects.
