I am writing in response to the advertised role of Planning Engineer on Planning Planet
I have gained considerable project planning experience in both my current role as Senior Planning Engineer in GE and previous employment.
My current role involves preparing and inputting project plans into the scheduling software, preparing and presenting detailed planning information, liaising with project team and other functional planners to obtain critical planning information. It is also my responsibility to analyze planning data and modifications as required to achieve imposed targets through time based analysis and/or resource limited based scheduling. In addition, I produce reports that guide design, procurement and manufacturing activities and update schedule data to ensure project consistency and optimization.
Having worked across diverse sectors including Oil & Gas, Construction, Energy and Rail, I have developed vast experience in monitoring and updatingplans for the whole life cycle of projects and programs on large scale projects. I have Worked closely with multiple managers and on multiple projects and thus have learnt to adapt to new situations, communicate with a wide range of people and have gained tangible people-management skills which I strongly believe are required to deliver results and work effectively as a Planning Engineer.
