            COST ENGINEER

  • Takes the lead in the preparation of budget.
  • Checks and records all project payables.
  • Gathers and verifies actual costs and reconciles with the accounting costs.
  • Receives checks and verifies billing and payables prior to release of payment.
  • Monitors Equipment Utilization Report in all projects.

  • Computes for the resources loading based on the construction schedule.
  • Presents to the PMT (Project Management Team) the construction schedule for the submission to the Client; discusses with the Client and seek approval of the same.
  • Provides PMT(Project Management Team) with a detailed target schedule/production:

A) Three-week look ahead

B) Three-month look ahead

  • Analyzes variances on time and resources.
  • Generates and recommends alternative plans and courses of actions in consultation with the PMT members.
  • Maintains and updates schedule – As Built against the Plan. Monitors progress accomplishments.
  • Coordinates with the Cost Engineer and Quantity Engineer for the reporting of actual progress of work based on quantity and/or unit price.
  • Identifies and monitors events of delays in the schedule for the purpose of claiming time extensions and additional costs.
  • Generates a tail-end schedule to have a clear realization of the remaining works based on the actual and/or target parameters.
  • Updates resources loading based on the remaining works.
