Richard Plumb resume

Dear Sir/Madam,

My current employment is with NSG Environmental Ltd; a small engineering contracting firm within the nuclear industry.

As a contracting company the majority of NSG’s business is acquired through a tendering process; a process which the proposals engineer role is centred around. The role is involved with all aspect of competing and tendering for new works contracts, usually based on the NEC3 suite of ECC contracts.

Early on in the role I made a push to become trained in Primavera so that programmes for new contracts/What If projects could be produced within the department; this was a task previously done by the Planning Engineers.

Over the last 12 months I have familiarised myself with the software and worked on developing my aptitude for project planning. My familiarity with planning recently coincided with the departure of one of our Planning Engineers; after discussions with one of the company directors I begun to take on responsibility for project planning.

I am now at a point where I am responsible for a significant proportion of the planning and scheduling carried out in the company, although my role as a Planning Engineer has not been formalised.

I would welcome the opportunity to pursue this aspect of my career further, with the longer term goal of developing into a fully fledged major projects planner.

Best Regards,

Richard Plumb
