Main Responsibilities
Manage vehicle schedules. Adhere to strong legal considerations and commercial aspects. Provide customer satisfaction whilst dealing with general administration duties and analyse the depot’s performance. Take responsibility towards advertising the company locally and gaining new business opportunities. Ensure that all maintenance and defect procedures were followed. Improve the customer relations for the company by keeping the customer informed with delivery issues and achieving customer performance measures. Work away from home at various depots with a wide range of customers and products.
Managerial Experience
On commencing my career in transport, I became involved in initiating a contract with a new customer. I since attended customer review meetings with another newcomer, to establish any issues or concerns and to devise SMART goals to enhance the future working relationship. I lead the implementation of the new traffic management computer system; Stirling Solutions, which was the filtered in throughout the company. I was involved in preparing forecasts and projections, which determined the depots targets. I managed a depot for approximately four months, which involved making daily operational decisions, and successfully led to securing a profit more substantial than previously achieved.
