 Project Management Experience Summary

 Project Initiation Phase:

  • Initiated the project plan during tendering phase by creating WBS to match it with CBS with level I, I, III & V as an integrated schedule.
  • Organized the project activities by assign activity codes and ID’s.
  • Developed Trade-off plans to show the project duration according to “What if Analysis”.
  • Supported of agreement by development of various levels of schedule which showing the commercial operation dates (COD) where the first level of milestone dates defined as a target dates.
  • Estimated activities duration using: Top/Bottom Estimation, Bottom/Top Estimation, Parametric and Analytical Estimation.
  • Estimated, planned scheduled and managed major shutdown activities.
  • Build project resource dictionary and link project activities by proper resource to start with resource leveling.
  • Linked construction activities with related procurement & engineering activities.

Project Planning Phase:

  • Assigned base line plan as a base of comparison and reference for any variance measurement.
  • Released S-curve for all project phase to set one of the most project metrics.
  • Established method of statement to calculate the progress percentage during project life cycle.
  • Generated cash flow, resources, material & equipment histograms and curves which present the project demand curves.
  • Communicated with all project stakeholders and project team to ensure proper understanding for the master plan.
  • Linked project activities with cost centers, cost type & work packages.
  • Supervised weekly & monthly presentation format, similarly for weekly & monthly progress submittal.
  • Insured proper plan implementation by issuing various week "look ahead" plan to project team (engineering, procurement, construction).
  • Released Project critical path & critical chain activities and discuss it with project management to draw all attention on these areas.
  • Conducted Project Sensitivity analysis using regression & statistical analysis to determine the impact of resource availability and probability of project completion.
  • Set Contingencyplan, risk analysis and risk assessment by using PERT and Decision tree method, the objective is to determine the auxiliary actions to be taken in case of unexpected developments or accident in the Project.
  • Followed up the contract management dept. to begin with revised schedule in case of any demand.
  • Developed integrated plan to effectively execute the scope of work and meet project objectives by identifying cost/schedule areas for the further definition of the scope of work.
  • Reviewed the scope of work, client requirements, division of responsibility, project objectives and constraints to develop the strategy for effective project delivery.
  • Developed detailed schedules by WBS, and assigning costs, labour, and equipment to each activity to
  • Determined progress requirements to meet the project completion date.
  • Identified major activities to be performed and the preferred sequence in which they are to be accomplished.

Project Deliverables & Reports:

  • Developed project controls variance reports that highlight conformance or non-conformance with standard project control expectations.
  • Audited project progress and reports inconsistencies with project progress reporting processes and reality.
  • Captured activity progress and performance data to enable forecasts and status reports to be prepared for management review and action
  • Supervised daily, weekly and monthly reports production, and submit it for consultant, client and multi project management office and any other stakeholders.
  • Supervised updating of master plan from site and other dept. feedback as reply on 4 weeks "look ahead" plan.

Project Resources Control:

  • Generated cash flow, resources, material & equipment histograms and curves which present the project demand curves.
  • Analysed resource requirement and availability impacts on the schedule and recommend recovery options.
  • Monitored any resource deviation, and report the resource utilization, effectiveness, and efficiencies.

Project Plan Control:

  • Implemented the project plan activities in work flow system (work order & work flow system) which is direct implementation of Activity Based Accounting (ABC), to convert the plan activities to daily work orders.
  • Monitored the total float and date variances for critical path and critical chain activities over WBS, by using threshold method to report the project management anticipation alarms in order to take the corrective action.
  • Audited the site activities, by monitoring actual dates versus planned, actual duration versus planned, and report any overdue activity to project management in order to take the required rectifications.
  • Followed up the progress invoicing to insure proper synchronization between budgeted work and invoiced work to insure the maximum earned value.
  • Backup the primavera plan on weekly basis.
  • Presented Project metrics, Indicators, predictors : Earned Value (EV), Actual Costs (AC), SV, SPI, Budgeted Cost for Work Remaining (BCWR), Estimate to Complete (ETC), Variance at Completion (VAC), Estimate at Completion(EAC), Independent EAC (IEAC), To Complete Performance Index (TCPI)
  • Monitored and evaluated Project Performance with KPI.

Project Cost Control (Manpower, Equipment and Material Management):

  • Monitored project cost by using Earned Value Management (EV), Earned Schedule Management (ES),  Cost Performance Index (CPI) & project balance techniques, and report the periodical financial statement, in addition to monitor and budget deviations.
  • Used Activity Based costing (ABC) as a superior method to estimate the labor/equipment productivity Implemented Performance Indicators for project disciplines as an evaluation indicator.

Subcontractor Performance Control & Monitoring:

  • Established scope matrix to insure complete coverage for project scope of work.
  • Reviewed all subcontractor plans to insure full compliance with project master plan.
  • Monitored and evaluated the progress and performance of project’s sub-contractors to insure proper overall progress
