I am applying for the position of “Senior Project Planner” in your organization, which can best utilize my educational background and employment skills I have developed. I believe my expertise and background would make me a suitable candidate for this position.
After completing my BSc in Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering in 2004, I started my professional career with CBL as Industrial Engineer. I spent almost two and half years doing time studies, method studies, product costing and manufacturing planning. During that time I developed inclination towards project planning and control for Oil & Gas Projects. In 2006, I joined JGC-Descon Limited (JDL) as a Project Planning and Control Engineer. JDL’s challenging and multi tasking environment helped me developed my engineering planning and control skills. I was able to understand the interface between engineering disciplines, the subsequent procurement and with construction. I was also involved in engineering management, project engineering, proposal management and contracts. I was one of the key members of the team who was responsible for implementation of Primavera ver. 7 across the company.
At the end of 2010, I parted ways with JDL; found a challenging Lead Planning role for one of the biggest oil storage terminals project in the UAE. As with every EPC project of this magnitude, I was fully involved with almost all the aspects of planning and cost reporting.I had a good overall exposure of working with multi-cultured project team at project site. Especially the experience of working with client’s PMC is worth mentioning. The details of work experience can be seen in my resume attached herewith.
Currently I am working with CH2M Hill (www.ch2mhill.com) as Project Controls Engineer. Based in Dubai Head Office, I am planning lead for three projects. Currently, I am looking for a lead role in planning and I would welcome the opportunity to speak in this regard.
