Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to express an interest in the advertised position of Project Controls Manager at Ferrybridge C power station, Thermal and Nuclear energy. My motivation is to utilise my experience and education to best advantage for a forward thinking prospective employer. My greatest motivation is the desire to be involved and experience a developing technological solution to the current power supply crisis facing the world.
I have previously held security clearance (BC) during my previous employment at British Energy (Nuclear power) and at Earthtech Ltd (MOD naval base upgrade works).
Perhaps my greatest asset is the varied experience of different industries, Power, water, rail, which have equipped me with a wide and varied view on project management and scheduling skills. Most recently I have spent 6 months at E.O.N Ratcliffe Power station as construction planner for the Civils part of the 200m SCR project. Of particular note is also my 1.5 years spent as lead planner for British Energy based at Barnwood in Gloucestershire.
