I would like to apply for the Planning post currently being advertised on planningplanet.com and attached is my CV for your perusal.
For the past 3.5 years I have been working for Frank Haslam Milan as a Planner using Asta Powerproject (advanced user) and Primavera P6. Frank Haslam Milan are a Design & Build contractor. I not only deal with the front end feasibility studies, which has a significant input into the D&B process, but also taking projects through from inception through to completion and reporting on the progress on those schemes. Value engineering and cost control are essential part of my role when reviewing project documents, plans and schedules.
Prior to joining Frank Haslam Milan I worked as a freelance Project Manager while studying full time for my degree in Construction Management over two year.
During my work, much of my time was spent dealing direct with clients and outside consultants, which allowed me to make the most of my affable and open personality. Being an extremely sociable and cheerful person, I have always enjoyed working with people and as part of a team.
I am a natural organiser and have a good eye for detail. My current employment has required me to use these skills to communicate effectively and document the progress of each project I was responsible for. Administrative duties were therefore a fundamental part of my everyday role. I am an experienced user of Microsoft's Office, Outlook and Worldwide Web applications, which were essential tools for my job.
Enthusiasm is another of my distinctive qualities. I respond keenly to new tasks and challenges and value variation in my work.
I look forward to hearing from you, but in the meantime should you require any additional information please do not hesitate to contact me.
My present salary is £37000 and I am required to give 1 months notice. I am looking to progress my career rather than increase my salary. Please don’t be put off by the fact I am based in the North East I am looking nation wide for a new role and already have my house on the market.
Regards
Gregg Stevens
