I am a Civil engineer with a master’s degree in Construction Technology and Management from the prestigious Indian Institute of technology Madras (IITM), India. I have more than two years of work experience in India’s leading construction company Larsen & Toubro, having exposure to project planning and controls.
I started working in the organization as a planning engineer on a high-rise project located in Mumbai, India. My primary responsibilities involved, developing and periodically updating project master schedule on MS Project for the purpose of project tracking and controls. I also handled the preparation of various MIS and progress reports, analysing resource and material requirements and budget forecasting. Coordination and facilitating communication between various participants of the project, was another key responsibility handled.
Currently I am working on another high-rise residential project as a costing engineer. In this present profile my main responsibilities include, preparation of project base cost estimate, monitoring and controlling the project cost periodically, analysing cost statement and cash-flow, preparing of budget forecast, invoicing schedule, vendor finalization and carrying out rate analysis for the preparation of cost proposals for non-tendered items.
I had the opportunity of getting exposed to the new concepts and technologies in the field of construction management like Lean construction, Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Location Based Management System (LBMS) through various academic and professional assignments.
