Currently employed as a Project Planner within the Energy Sector for a company which specialises in the maintenance of nuclear and conventional power stations. Key roles are in the planning of statutory insurance inspection outages and specialist projects, interpreting the scope of work and design drawings to produce a workable schedule of activities to assist the project control system, resulting in the project’s timely completion to the high standards the company has set itself.
My experience not only includes project planning, project monitoring and reporting and project risk analysis, but also contract bid preparation and project evaluations. I also have a broad based engineering background which has enabled me to interpret a wide variety of engineering information, such as engineering drawings, data sheets and specifications into multi-disciplined project programmes encompassing all phases of a projects life cycle. I also possess knowledge of computer based planning and control systems, such as Primavera P3 and P6 and Microsoft Project in addition to all Microsoft Office applications and a good knowledge of IT set up and maintenance.
