I am a planning/project controls professional looking to undertake a new challenge.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering; and an MSc in Information and Computer Technologies from University of Greenwich. As well as touching other areas of technology, both degrees covered most of the fundamental concepts/technologies that underpin information and communications technology. Other certifications that I hold are ISEB/ISTQB Software Testing, Prince2 and A+ Certification.
I am currently working as a Planning Manager with Siemens at Heathrow Terminal 2 Development Project, in which I plan, manage/control, coordinate and report on the Baggage Handling System design, procurement and installation. In collaboration with other stakeholders, I manage and coordinate operational readiness trials, system integration and end-to-end testing of the baggage handling system with the existing terminals. I had previously worked in the aerospace industry, where I planned and monitored the development of a catalogue for a new product line and the set-up of a production system turnkey facility in a low cost environment abroad, for automated production. I have worked on Rail Signalling Project, in which I built, controlled, and monitored a low-level programme involving Detailed Design, Procurement, Installation, and Testing/Commissioning. I have experience of working on Track Renewal, and Station Refurbishment Projects with the Rail Industry. I have, also, worked on a FEED Project for the building of a Desalting Plant. This involved the pre-FEED (Concept Selection) Stage as well as the Detailed Design Stage. The Detailed Design Stage was jump-started so that the FEED data will be re-used.
In addition to my experience outlined above, I have effective communication and crisis management skills. A team worker and deliver services with customers’ satisfaction in mind; and a calm approach to solving problems. Also, because of my huge thirst for knowledge I am always equipping myself with new skills through training. I am always curious to learn new technologies and my strong IT background makes working and understanding new technologies very easy. I am also open to working anywhere; and travelling heavily should that be the case.
