Career History

 

May 2011 – Present – Petrofac - Addax ADCP (Lead Planning Engineer)

As Lead Planning Engineer, responsible for the development, maintenance and updating of the Level 3 Resource Loaded schedule. Ensuring consistency between TDR (Technical Document Register) and the Schedule. Prepare Weekly and Monthly report for Client update of the schedule, Production of “S” Curves, Histograms and tables based upon earned value, progress, actual costs and forecasts. Earned value analysis to determine trends. Development of EPC Schedule based on agreed WBS for a project with two separate sites. Update the actual costs v budget and trend forecast. Working closely with engineers from all disciplines to ensure they understand the project requirements of an accelerated schedule.

 

 

 

October 2010 – May 2011 – Petrofac - Berantai (WHP & FPSO) (Planning Engineer)

Established the detailed Level 3 network Offshore EPC Schedule from Engineering and Procurement through to Hook Up and Commissioning. Close critical path analysis carried out on the schedule to review potential opportunities as well as risks. Worked closely with Procurement to focus on the Long Lead Items and those items causing negative float in the schedule. Building in weather windows to the schedule to take in to consideration local monsoon seasons affecting Construction and Transportation to the field.

 

March 2010 – October 2010 – Petrofac - Sonatrach Central Area Field Complex Development FEED Project (Lead Planning Engineer)

Lead Planning Engineer reporting directly to the Project Manager. Development and weekly updates of the working Level 3 Schedule. Producing a suite of reports to highlight progress and problem areas to the Project Management Team. Careful monitoring of costs and forecasts to go to ensure budget not exceeded.

 

May 2009 – June 2011 – Petrofac - Consultancy Group Projects (Lead Planning Engineer)

Responsible for all planning requirements within the Consultancy Group. Studies and Projects covering both Onshore and Offshore. Development of WBS to suit individual project requirements. With multiple projects in the group at one time, good time management skills were required. Carrying out risk analysis on some projects using Pertmaster. Attended kick off meetings in Dubai with Client. Responsible for developing schedules for use in Proposals which require a high quality in a short time period to meet proposal deadlines.

 

August 2007 – November 2008 - M W Kellogg – Planning Engineer - StatoilHydro Projects

Worked in a team of Planners on various StatoilHydro projects (including KEP2010, CO2 Mongstad Masterplan and North Sea Upgrader). Responsible for development of various levels of resource loaded baseline schedules using Primavera P5. Integration of sub-contractors schedules in to master schedule. Rescheduling and rebaselining schedule to meet changing requirements. Generating reports from Primavera to manipulate in Excel. Attending Risk Workshop to provide project controls input. Researching schedule data from previous MW Kellogg projects to produce benchmark information for future projects.

 

June 2006 – August 2007 - M W Kellogg – Shell Pearl GTL - Information Management Coordinator

Worked as part of a 75 man team developing the Nexus Portal for Shell Pearl Project. The Portal was to allow all contractors across the world to share documents, and to manage business systems such as Contract Change Management, Interface Management, Risk Management and Safety Management. Travelled to Japan and South Korea to give presentations and provide group training to contractors. Responsible for detailed testing of tools prior to launch and following updates to the system.

 

May 2004 – June 2006 - Kellogg Brown and Root – BP Angola Block 18 - Project Interface Management Coordinator

Responsible for managing the project’s Interface Management System using a Microsoft Access Database between contractors in South Korea, Norway, France and the UK. Participated in face to face and video meetings with HHI, Stolt Offshore, FMC, KBR and BP to establish deadlines, clarification of detail requirements etc. Responsible for meeting deadlines tied in to schedules. Understanding and dealing sympathetically with people from different cultures.
