Overview

Jim Hawald has 30 years of experience in project management/project controls in the construction industry. He has worked with contractors, engineering firms, construction management consultants, and national client organizations. His experience includes management and hands-on use of schedule/cost management software, procedures, and implementation of project controls for large civil infrastructure projects. He has been responsible for establishing a project controls group, reviewing time delays and disruption-related claims using various analysis techniques, providing input to design progress reports and preparing cost/schedule variance analyses for senior management. He has designed monitoring systems, and supervised established installation of database information systems for various management reporting. Before specializing in project management, Mr. Hawald worked with the U.S. Department of Energy as a technical analyst. He was also a licensed Operator Engineer in the building trades for 4 years in Washington D.C. where he worked on the Metro Railway network, Australian Embassy expansion and Potomac Water Pollution Plant expansion.
