I have extensive / many years experience as Project Controls Manager / Lead Planner, with specific expertise in the use of Primavera P6 and PRA and I wish to apply the position you have recently advertised as a planning engineer
In 2014, my company was were awarded the PMO (Project Management Office) contract for five (5) years years to manage the 5 billion BWP roll-out of the North West Transmission Grid Connection (NWTGC) Project for Botswana Power Corporation.
This project entails approximately 3000 kilometres of new transmission lines from 66kV-400kV and various sub-stations from their newly built Power Station at Morupule near Gaborone. in the north of the Botswana, connecting Zambia, Namibia, Zimbabwe and strengthening links in the south of the country. The project is in execution phase with main EPC Contractors appointed (CONCO, LARSEN & TOUBRO aND KALPA-TURA)
Apart from being a director of our company, I was assigned the role as Project Controls Manager for this Project
The project consists of the following OHL main distributions lines and substations:
- 400/220/132/33kV Letlhakane Substation and associated works as well as a fully equipped 220kV Feeder Bay at Orapa Switching Station
- 400kV Transmission Line Morupule B - Letlhakane and 220kV Transmission Line Letlhakeng - Orapa 2
- Mawana 400/220/132/33kV Substation
- 297km of 400kV Transmission Line from Letlhakane Subtation to Mawana Substation
- 220/132kV Legotlhwane Substation
- 79km of 220kV Transmission Line from Mawana Substation to Legotlhwane Substation
- Makoba and Samochima 132/33kV Substations and Ghanzi 132/33/11kV Substation Extension
- 153km of 132kV Transmission Line from Legotlhwane Substation to Makoba Substation and 123km of 132kV Transmission Line from Makoba Substation to Samochima Substation
- 219km of 220kV Transmission Line from Letlhakane Subtation to Ghanzi Substation

I was also appointed as Project Controls Manager at Transnet Port Terminals in South-Africa and served in that position for 11 years from 23004 to 2015
