My name is Jonathon Fletcher and I would like to express my interest in the Project Controls / Planning Manager position for the Kelana Jaya Rail Extension. I have worked in Malaysia previously, firstly on the Putra LRT System 2 between Kelana Jaya and Gombak from 1994 to 1998. On that project I was Chief Planner for the UEM Contractors Consortium which built the elevated and at-grade guideway and the stations. There were 12 planners across that project working with as well as reporting to me. I also worked in Malaysia as Corporate Planning Manager for Leighton Contractors in 2000 and 2001, working on and overviewing projects such as the Manjung Power Station, Coal Stockyard and Jetty and the Teachers Housing Project across Malaysia.
Of recent times, I have been employed by Bechtel Australia as Senior Field Planner on their AU$2Bil Aluminium Refinery Expansion for Rio Tinto - being involved on the project since July 2008. Prior to this, I was Senior Planning Manager with a Construction Management Company in Seoul, Korea for 3 years.
The project I am currently working on will be achieving completion towards the end of this year, so the timing of commencement of your project should work in well with this. I believe I have significant experience to bring to your project in Kuala Lumpur and look forward to discussing this with you.
